The Sherline 3.0Mm Mill Collet is a high-precision tool designed for use with the Morse #1 internal taper, which is standard on both the Sherline lathe and vertical mill. This collet is perfect for milling operations that require extreme accuracy and precision.

Due to the shallow angle of the Morse #1 taper, the drawbolt can be tightened to apply greater clamping force, ensuring that your cutting tools are held securely in place. This results in reduced tool slippage and improved overall milling performance.

Versatile Tool Holding

The Sherline 3.0Mm Mill Collet is designed to hold a variety of cutting tools, including miniature size end mills (3/16″ or 1/4″ shank), #1 and smaller center drills or Dremel bits (1/8″ shank), and assorted other cutters. The collet will securely hold any tool with a shank size within .001″ of the manufactured size.

Easy to Use

The shallow taper angle of the Morse #1 taper also makes it easy to remove the collet from the spindle. Simply back off the drawbolt a couple of revolutions and tap it to free the collet. This ensures that the collet will not loosen during operation and provides added convenience and safety.
