HCV Solder Tip Cartridges are the high-power soldering tip range for the Metcal CV-5200, MX-5200, and MX-5200 Series soldering systems.

Metcal SmartHeat technology automatically adjusts power levels during each soldering operation to maintain accurate temperatures through the soldering process.

Patented Chip-in-Cartridge technology enables closed-loop, bi-directional communication between the tip and the CV unit, stores and records cartridge attributes, provides traceability information, protects the power supply from non-confirming cartridges, and are backwards-compatible with MX Series power supplies.
